Most of the time, I draw dragons with their wings spread, probably because it’s easier to show the body that way (assuming that the dragon is not flying, of course). But I had a random thought hat it might take more effort to hold them up and out than it might to keep them down, so that might be a more natural pose.
Drawing that kind of forces one to make a lot of deliberate decisions when drawing with a pen, as it’s a lot harder to “draw through” things, but I tried:
