I wanted to draw a semi-aquatic dragon, but not so much in the usual sense.

At first the large scales were going to be fins of some sort, but I shied away from that for some reason, opting for scales instead. The face reminds me a bit of a black dragon from D&D, though that wasn’t intentional.
