I had nothing to do and no one to do it with, so I decided I would make bread. It was the first time I ever made bread all by myself, and I didn’t have whole wheat flour or eggs, but didn’t feel like going to the store (see yesterday’s post about this week).
I lost my appetite somewhere in the midst of all the waiting, probably because I made it take a lot longer than I probably needed to (3 hours for first rising, then and hour for second), and didn’t even want to try it, even though the loaves rolled out of the pans like, um, things that roll really well.
I gave a loaf to my neighbors, but I don’t know what they thought of it yet.
