If I’d had another day (my hands are cramped from holding the sketchbook so tightly and making all those teensy scales) I might have covered it completely, but as it is, this is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve done to date, I think:
it almost started out as a cheap knockoff of a D&D 3.5 White Dragon, but then I started adding those large scales down the middle of the muzzle, and it kind of took on a life of its own. A Google search for “crocodile face” for some additional inspiration and an hour or so later and here we are.
Once again, alligators and their ilk help make cool things.
