So I did this, and while I was working on it, my friend Steph asked “Turtle dragon?” so I know I’m moving in the right direction. I definitely think the eyebrows are pushing it in the wrong direction; have to do something about that, as the long-suffering/exhausted look is kind of important to selling the idea that this is Sloth.
After I spent a lot of time with my attention divided between the topmost sketch and The Boondocks, I realized that I didn’t really know what the dragon’s head would look like from other angles, so I took a stab at it. It’s not a bad thing that I’ve been so focused on the silhouette, but I’ve been a little tunnelsighted in that regard.
