It was another one of those days when I finally get to sit down and all I can do is stare at my sketchbook while I try to figure out what to do.
So I started drawing eyes, and looked at some photos by this guy for reference, when I realized/remembered that snakes don’t have eyelids, so I started thinking about scaly faces and the idea of a cold-eyed, unblinking draconic stare, and how that might play into the concept of dragonfear.
I didn’t get too far with that, but I did some sketches that would probably have been more inspiring if I hadn’t come straight home and worked my second job, then stuffed food into my face and tried to draw something. As it is, I’m still pretty happy, I just wish I’d had more time and energy to lavish on these:
