So after a long time of semi-avoidance, I was introduced to Doctor Who today. I saw the episodes “Gridlock” and “Blink.”
“Gridlock” had me thinking about things that lived in the darkness, so I started chasing the dragon by sketching spheres-that-could-be-eyeballs, which led to the sketch at the bottom of the page and eventually turned into this:
It’s a bone-white hydra with a tail full of light-lures and a slightly odd (or irregular for this space) silhouette/gait due to its living underground (as opposed to in a cave like its more common cousin). I find myself a bit enamored of the idea and want to explore it a bit further, but should go to sleep.
