Remember those draconity drawings I was doing on the regular awhile back?
Well, I started doing them again because of something resembling popular demand. I mean, Negadrake was one, but there’s a couple of others in the queue, so this’s a formal announcement of sorts.
Anyhoo, this is how Catthedragon describes himself:
I don’t have much information, but here’s what I have at the moment:
Generic western-style dragon, maybe 4.5-5 feet high and 20 feet long, with about 10-12 of those being my tail (my tail is relatively long, longer than it is in the ref sheet I’ll show you). I’m fairly slender overall.
My head is wedge-shaped, with two black horns that curve out more “backward” than they do “upward” (but still a little bit “up”). My eyes are he generic “human” style, either blue or green, it doesn’t really matter since you don’t do color anyway.
I have 5 fingers on each wing, with *no* vestigial “thumb” (I.E. all 5 fingers are long and thin, connected to wing membranes).
My skin color is gold with just a *faint* hint of green, except for my belly where my scales transition to a pale yellow color. I have scales everywhere on my body by the way, no fur/skin/feathers/etc.
Here’s a shitty ref sheet that I did a while ago. Hopefully it helps, but there are several inaccuracies in it. Thanks again for offering to do this! You’re the best!
I would say that the height is from the shoulder, but honestly I don’t know that much about myself. It doesn’t really matter if you’re off by a few inches, so feel free to guesstimate.
The wing fingers are all more or less the same length, but if you wanted to get reeeallly detailed I guess they might get slightly longer as they get progressively farther from my body. Only slightly, if that.

The line is just an indication of a wedge-shaped head. I’m a sucky artist, and that was barely more than a half-assed sketch.
Hmm… maybe something prideful or brave? Either that or happy and snuggly. Your pick. ^^
And of course you can use my art! …If you want my shitty, half-assed sketch on your blog, lol. As for the inaccuracies, I pretty much talked about them in my first post. My tail needing to be a bit longer, my wings having 5 fingers instead of 4, my chest fading to pale yellow from the green-gold that makes up the rest of my body, etc.

I wanted to do a lot more sketching, but I’m still recovering from last night. I did this, but I’m not 100% thrilled with how the horns turned out- they’re kind of antelopey, which isn’t a bad thing, but I had some trouble wrapping my head around them, especially when my initial sketches ended up looking vaguely like the Dragon of Lust:
I need to go back and ask him about the number of claws on the dragon’s hands/feet, and if there are thumbs, if he knows- the asymmetry between the number of digits and the wings kinds of bothers me, but it’s not a hard-and-fast rule by any means, more of a personal style thing.
Anyhow, that’s it for tonight. Tomorrow, expect something big.
