There are times when the dragon just falls out of the pencil onto the page. The pencils strokes get a bit worked-up and this side of messy, and I end up with a lot of graphite on my right pinky.
Tonight was one of those times.
Naturally, this is perfectly apropos, as I didn’t finish drawing it until some time after 2am. I was really into it, and kept on working it over, chasing the dragon to the conclusion. I’m proud of it, actually.
The original layout was a little different; this is a lot better. I also wish I knew more fonts off the top of my head, the plain text Z’s are not really indicative of the vastness and variety I envision in the sleep-hoarding dragon’s hoard.
Another great dragon sketch!
Usually whenever I’m proud of a sketch, I end up colouring it or finalizing it a bit more.
There’s a fonts folder in your control panel that you can browse through. If not, there’s always font database websites.
Yeah, I do that too, sometimes. I might end up doing that. And yes, if I do, I will definitely be looking through my fonts folder. However, since it was so late when I was working on it, I didn’t want to make it take *longer* by hand-picking a font for each and every “Z” in each bubble. :p
