So at the end of a day where I was feeling sickish (possibly another summer cold or something, though not nearly as debilitating as the one from May), inspired (I realized something about my workflow in Illustrator, though I didn’t exactly have all the time I wanted to explore this development), and quite busy (you know, life) all at once, I sat at my desk and sketched around while texting a friend.
I decided (or maybe realized) that the dragon from the last few days should be aquatic (at least to differentiate, since the dragon I ended up with had all that dorsal armor), or at least amphibious, like an otter, so I did some more head studies (there is a sizable block of clay sitting in my kitchen, and I really ought to try making something with it, at least so I can quit trying to extrapolate how things ought to look instead of beating myself up over it) and a wee full-body drawing as well:
