So I got my proof (of this image) back from the Directory of Illustration, and I think that somebody screwed up (the way that this day has gone, probably me), because it looked fairly shitty, despite my attempts to stave off the shittiness- lines were pixelated and jagged, even areas of full color looked like they were made of small circles with dots in them. The Production staff over there have been nice about seeing what they can do, but there’s (naturally) not a lot of time to do anything about it, and I can’t help but feel like this is only going to end up costing me more money.
Coloring this sketch in was also a bad idea, because the pixelated ice cream doesn’t stand out as much.
