So Something Terrible must have happened because I’m not 100% yet. Just letting you know.
Anyhow, I had some kind of joke in mind involving chicken and following it with a sketch of a cockatrice, but the pose I was hell-bent on drawing out was a lot harder than I initially realized, and I felt like I was cheating by trying to use some visual tropes- I know that the neck doesn’t suddenly get thicker because it curves; in fact, it would get thinner because it’s approaching the head.
And speaking of heads, a chicken’s head isn’t round, or even a triangular prism, like most birds’ heads, it’s kind of a wedge shape. All the doodads and feathers and whatnot kind of obscure that.
I am not a nugget! I’m a wedge!
