I did toy with the idea of doing something for April Fool’s, but then realized that I’ve never done it, and really, it’s kind of annoying when it happens, so I didn’t. It probably didn’t help that I was tired and annoyed for pretty much the entire day.
As you can tell by the level of detail from left -to-right, I started like a house afire, then downshifted to something less hot. I was thinking real hard about what to do with the scale pattern on the neck as opposed to the more-or-less generic scaling on the head, but didn’t want to get too caught up in it, I guess- I still don’t really understand how scales on creatures like iguanas work- they’re almost more like a mosaic than anything else.
On the whole, though, it’s not a bad job, I think.
