We don’t need construction lines.
“I was really tired and unfocused, so I did a sketch with no erasing, and not much of a real plan in mind.”
Really. I didn’t know what else to do, so I did the curve of the inside of the tail, and just kind of went from there. I didn’t allow myself to erase, so the proportions aren’t exactly what they could be, and as I decided that there should be something on the dragon’s body (as it looked “too plain”), the spikes on the center of the trunk didn’t get knocked out. In hindsight, I should have made them dark.
