I am really tired this weekend; a very late Friday night kind of set the tone for the next few days. Wrestling with the idea of where to put highlights (as well as how to depict them) was probably not the best idea today.
I think that part of the problem was that I never really considered what the texture of the skin would be like, and jsut started throwing highlights around- while dragonscale could in fact be highly reflective, it probably tends to be more matte, or at the very least probably isn’t shiny all over. More thought will have to go into this.
