Back on track, kind of:
Adding space for the pectoral muscles, as well as “enough” back for wingsails to connect to the body believably alters the silhouette a bit. I’m sure I could tweak it around (esp. as the limbs are different as well), though.
Really, I should look at heavy-bodied quadrupeds as well, because my instinct to draw a catlike form is throwing me off… I know that a rhinoceros is mostly ribcage, for example. Then again, a rhino probably can’t jump…
