So I’ve been reading A Dance With Dragons, and enjoying it. After many, many pages, something happened to at least partially justify the title, but for those of you who are lagging behind like me or only know what’s going on through the Game of Thrones TV show, I’ll spare you the details.
That having been said, I’ve been a little disappointed in the description of the dragons- given Martin’s loving (and often excessive) description of every pair of breasts in all of the Kingdoms, you would think that he could spare a few more words for the dragons, seeing as they’re, like really important to the storyline and all- this might be because I’ve been reading them somewhat slowly over a longish period of time, but I can’t for the life of me remember if they have two legs or four, for example. I’m guessing two, because four-limbed dragons would (or perhaps could) have acted differently over the course of the books so far, although they might not have; dragons in the Seven Kingdoms don’t seem to be especially intelligent, just willful and destructive.
That having been said, I didn’t have enough information to go on (nor did I especially feel like looking for it; it’s hot and I’m not in a super mood right now) to depict one of the three, so instead I drew this:
